JEE Main 2015: Rank list expected to release on June 29

JEE Main 2015

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is likely to release the rank list for JEE Main 2015 today i.e. June 29, as the joint seat allocation process is set to begin. Earlier, the joint seat allocation was to commence on July 25, however, it was delayed due to the non-availability of JEE Main Paper 1 and Paper 2 ranks.
JEE Main 2015 was held by CBSE on April 4, April 10 and April 11. The results for the same were announced on April 27. Over 13 lakh candidates appeared for JEE Main, this year, out of which almost three lakh students took the exam, online.
Out of these, 11 lakh students are eligible for admissions to almost 34,000 seats to be offered by 85 participating institutions. The ranks of these candidates will be calculated by assigning 60 percent weightage to JEE Main score and 40 percent weightage to their score in Class 12.
Last week CBSE had issued a notice asking all education boards to submit the Class 12 marks, in order to prepare the All India Ranks (AIR). And if the marks are not received by CBSE by the due date, AIRs of such candidates will not be released and CBSE will not be responsible for the same.
The candidates who qualify JEE Main 2015 will get admissions in various institutes such as Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT), National Institute of Technology (NIT) and Central Funded Technical Institute (CFTI). JEE Advanced is used for admission to Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) and Indian School of Mines (ISM).
