Indian School of Mines begins admissions to its M.Tech programmes

Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad is now accepting applications for admissions into M.Tech courses for the session of 2015. The university offers the Master of Technology programme Electronics and Communication Engineering. The three-years course is for academicians and working executives who do not have the time to pursue a full-time course. The interested and eligible candidates may apply according to the given format.
Eligibility criteria:
The candidates should have a B.E or B.Tech degree. The qualifying degree should be in any of these disciplines- Instrumentation, Electronics and Instrumentation, Electronics, Electrical and Electronics, Electronics and Communication or  Electronics and Telecommunication.
The candidates must have a minimum score of 55 percent (50 percent for SC and ST candidates) in their degree. Or, they should have a minimum score of 5.5 CGPA on a scale of 10 (5.0 for SC and ST candidates).

Selection procedure: The candidates will be selected on the basis of their performance in the written test and, or an interview round. The final merit list will be prepared according to their score in the written test, interview and their work experience.
Application procedure: The candidates can apply online at the official website of the university, www.ismdhanbad.ac.in. They are required to send the hard copy of the application form along with self attested copies of all required documents to the 'Assistant Registrar (Acad. & Exam), Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad -826004, Jharkhand'. The envelope containing the documents should be labelled as 'Application for admission in three-years M.Tech 2015 in Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE)'.
Application fee: The candidates are required to pay a fee of Rs 2,000. They payment should be made through a Demand Draft drawn in favour of the 'Registrar, Indian School of Mines', and payable at Dhanbad.
Important dates:
Last date for submitting online applications is July 15.
The written test and interview round will be conducted on July 18 to 19.
The results will be declared on July 24.
