The Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay has released an admission
notification, inviting interested and eligible candidates to enroll for
its Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) programs offered in various disciplines
for spring semester of the academic year 2015-16.
Eligibility criteria
The candidates must have completed master's degree in Engineering/Technology or equivalent degree, with first class or 60 percent marks.
The candidates should also possess one of the following:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Technology with first class or 60 percent marks.
or
Master's degree in Science or equivalent degree, with first class or 60 percent marks.
or
Master's degree in Arts/Commerce or equivalent degree with a minimum of 55 percent marks, only for admission to the Ph.D. programs offered by the Industrial.
Selection procedure
An interview and a written test would be conducted for the candidates. Candidates called for written test/interview should bring with them (i) Photo ID Card, (ii)Printed copy of the application submitted online, (iii) Thesis / dissertation / report /publications (iv) copy of certificates and marksheets.

Application fee:
For General/OBCNC male candidates: Rs 300
For third gender (T) candidates: Rs 300
For General/OBCNC female candidates: Rs 150
For SC/ST male candidates: Rs 150
For SC/ST female candidates: Rs150
Candidates are required to apply online for the admission to this course and send the hard copy of the form along with the demand draft (if fee not paid online) to 'Deputy Registrar (Academic),IIT Bombay, Powai, Mumbai-400 076 '.
